About Caring Senior Service Franchise

Caring Senior Service was founded by Jeff Salter in 1991. He had been working for a home health company in Odessa,Texas, and realized that many seniors wanted help with tasks of everyday living, like bathing, running errands, and preparing food. However, nurses and staff at home health care companies didn't provide this type of service. He founded his first Caring Senior Service location in Odessa to help fill that gap in senior care.

By 1994, Jeff had moved to McAllen, Texas, and opened a new Caring Senior Location there. Within a few years, he opened additional locations in Corpus Christi, the Coastal Ben, and San Antonio.

In 2002, Jeff determined that the best way for Caring Senior Service to grow was through franchising. Through his 10 years of owning and managing Caring offices, Jeff created a successful business model. Through franchising the company, he was able to share that model with other entrepreneurs to ultimately reach more families and provide more high-quality care to seniors in need.

Today, Caring Senior Service operates about 50 locations across the United States. We continue to improve our elder services to better meet the needs of our clients and bring positive changes to their lives. This vision, along with our dependable staff, has allowed us to grow into trusted members of the many communities we now serve.

WHAT IS SENIOR HOME CARE?

Our Senior Care services are tailored to meet the needs of the elderly that want to age in the comfort of their own homes. Caring provides Caregivers who help seniors with day to day activities that become more difficult to accomplish as we age such as, cooking, laundry, going to the doctors office or taking a bath safely. Basically, we provide any non-medical care for seniors that adds to their independence, safety and quality of life. Because of our GreatCare® System, we can fully customize the care we provide for seniors to their individual needs and that one-on-one care is delivered by a professionally trained caregiver and well matched. 

Many times after returning home from a hospitalization, after an illness or injury, an older person is forced to make decisions about how they will continue to live with the challenges of completing daily activities such as personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping and daily errands. Historically, the elderly have had two choices: either move in with their children/family/friends or move into a nursing home. Either alternative means leaving the place that is most familiar and comfortable for them, as well as losing a substantial number of their possessions, and possibly, even their friends. 

Caring Senior Service offers a cost effective alternative to the emotional, physical and monetary costs of moving that also allows our clients to remain independent in their own homes longer. When compared to the costs associated with other options, private pay homecare can be a more affordable option for many seniors.

Do I Need Senior Care Experience? No Senior Care Experience... No Problem

Many of our owners come from completely unrelated fields, but they all have a few things in common: A willingness to work persistently toward their goals, a high level of resilience, the ability to cultivate high trust relationships and the desire to make an impact in the lives of others.

All new Caring Senior Service franchise owners are enrolled into our two week online training course which is followed by in-person training here at our headquarters in San Antonio. Once in-person training is complete someone from the corporate headquarters marketing team will fly out and conduct marketing visits with the new owner within his or her territory.  We also provide ongoing support and coaching, as well as multiple national training conferences every year open to all franchise owners.

Our intensive training program is based on decades of experience and is so intensive that we have strictly enforced caps on how many owners can attend training at one time. Our franchise system includes streamlined office setup and staffing support, and a corporate based support team. You will also receive complete operations and marketing training, business support and advice. How Will I Learn Everything I Need To Know?

Initial training takes place over three weeks. The first two weeks of training are web-based and completed at your home or office. This portion of your training consists of assignments that will familiarize you with your senior care market, our intranet, proprietary Tendio® software, and operational systems. We will check your understanding and progress with bi-weekly webinars scheduled with our support team staff. Your third week of training is hands-on and is hosted at our National Headquarters in San Antonio, TX and teaches owners how to implement all of the major components of our system from an operational and marketing perspective.

What Happens When I Leave Training?

Upon leaving initial training, new franchisees are enrolled in a 16-week Core Development Program that consists of weekly training calls highly focused on helping our owners implement the specific operational practices introduced in our initial training. The principles of the Core Development program are guided by tracking each owner's specific key performance indicators. The marketing processes, taught at initial training, are reinforced with weekly sales coaching calls to track marketing plan implementation and celebrate successes. We also provide on-site visits of corporate staff, as well quarterly training conferences which, in total, lead to engaged franchise owners who are confidently following a unique plan that has been specially developed for them.
